This enormous and lucrative area of the voiceover world includes podcasts, e-learning, documentaries, audio books, medical/technical narration, explainer videos and more. Description What is the course about?
This is a fun and intensive course about the wonderful world of narration. You’ll learn how to narrate a wide variety of projects, how to create just the right ‘inner landscape’ to engage with your intended audience and lots of tips for breaking into this vast area of voiceover. What will we cover? Communication and connection Visuals Positioning Intent Formality and pace Emotional investment Visualisation What to include on a narration demo How to find work in narration.
What will I achieve? By the end of this course you should be able to...
Identify that narration skills are about so much more than just the voice. Explain what the communication is trying to achieve Set the right speed and tone to match the emotional quality. Make the narration three-dimensional. What level is the course and do I need any particular skills? You should ideally have previous experience or taken classes in Voiceovers; Radio Presenting or other media courses. How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
